Rivian R1 Driver Workstation

Turn your Rivian into a tiny office.

As busy working parents, we spend a lot of time waiting — at practices, in carpool lines, at appointments and charging stops. That often means answering emails, joining meetings or squeezing in a little work from the driver’s seat. Balancing a laptop on your lap gets old fast, especially when you need room for a mouse, a notebook or a coffee. So we designed a solid-wood workstation that turns our Rivian into a comfortable, practical little office.

We use it nearly every day, and now we’re making it for other Rivian owners who could use a better way to work between everything else life has scheduled.

The driver’s workstation is handmade from a single piece of solid hardwood, with options including cherry, red oak and maple. Designed specifically for the Rivian R1S and R1T, it rests securely between the driver’s door handle and center console. Each workstation measures approximately 3/4 to 1 inch thick, with generously routed and sanded edges for a smooth, comfortable finish. A raised mouse platform supports better ergonomics, while the center handle makes it easy to position and remove.

NOTE: Each workstation is made to order from a unique piece of solid hardwood, so please allow 2–3 weeks for us to handcraft yours.

Wood Types (refer to gallery picture for comparison):

• Cherry – Ranges from rich red to reddish-brown. Features a straight grain with a fine texture, often exhibiting small gum pockets and brown pith flecks. The lightest and softest option for this product. Product weight is approximately 7lbs.
• Red Oak – Ranges from light to medium brown with a medium grain structure. Product is sanded smooth but still has more grain texture than the other two options. The hardest and most durable option for this product. Product weight is approximately 10lbs. The grain appearance on this wood resembles the Rivian “Ash Wood” and “Driftwood” interior options.
• Maple – Very light in color with a grain structure that varies from straight to wavy. Mid-level hardness with a very smooth surface texture. Product weight is approximately 9lbs. The grain appearance on this wood resembles the Rivian “Walnut Wood” interior option.

Details:

• Each workstation is handmade from a unique piece of solid hardwood, so no two will be exactly alike. Natural variations in the wood may result in minor imperfections.
• Comes unfinished. Prefer a finished look? Add a custom stain, protective polyurethane coating — or both — under Related Products.
• A sheet of adhesive-backed felt is included for customers who would like an added layer of protection between the workstation and their Rivian’s interior surfaces.
• Shipping and taxes are included in the price.
• Product weight: approximately 7–10 lbs., depending on the wood selected.
