Wood Stain and Coating

Optional add-on for Unpaved Engineering wood products:

WARNING: The application of stain and/or protective coating is permanent and user specific. No refunds or returns will be accepted if this add-on is selected. 

NOTE: This add-on can increase the lead time for the product by 1-2 weeks.

Stain: Select “Minwax” in the Stain drop down menu then use the notes section during the checkout process to indicate your desired shade of Minwax stain. Examples are shown in the product image, but you may also select a stain from the Minwax site linked below. Penetrating wood stain is preferred. All stain options may not be available locally. Note that the type of wood, grain structure of the specific cut, number of coats, etc. impact the final color of the stain. If you want a very specific color/tone, I suggest skipping this optional add-on and applying the stain and coating after you receive the product.

Minwax Stain Options

Coating: Select “Polyurethane” in the Coating drop down menu. Product will receive 2-3 coats of Minwax oil-based polyurethane protective coating before shipment. NOTE: once this coating is applied, stain can no longer be applied or modified.
